I am following up on my previous Lecturer email to let you know that your Lecturer Smartsheets AY21-22 are now available for 7/1/21 and 8/1/21 Lecturer Appointments.

We have some exciting news to share today. Teal will be taking on the ChaMPS region as interim RD in addition to continue to lead the SHARE region. A goal is to bring some of our strategies and lessons learned to help our fellow L&S region over the next six months.  

Administrative Closure Days:

As we mentioned in our last message, SHARE will observe another administrative closure day next Friday, April 9th. Some SHARE staff will be taking vacation and we have other staff covering urgent priorities.

We are all very grateful for the temperate California weather as our friends and family throughout much of the rest of our country are freezing and without power and water. We have a few important informational items in the HR area to share with you this week:

I think we can now safely say, Happy New Year! There is a vaccine rolling  out, the inauguration was peaceful and everyone is now back to work, albeit remote for the foreseeable future.

Before we all turn off Zoom, bMail and bCal to enjoy these socially distanced holidays, we wanted to let you know SHARE will be closed for Winter Curtailment from December 23 through January 4. Below are guidelines for receiving any assistance you might need during this curtailment period:
 

Payroll

Dear SHARE:

We want to remind everyone that most of the SHARE staff will be taking next week off for Thanksgiving Break. We will have limited staff handling transactions for the Payroll deadline and for Research Proposals or other critical deadlines. Routine requests will be addressed when we come back Monday, November 30th. If you have an urgent request, please contact us directly (Teal and Max) via email. 

Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) will be observing the annual winter curtailment.

In anticipation of the upcoming semester and efforts for Spring hiring, this week, Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) regions have begun communicating details, important deadlines, actions to take and other reminders to their campus clients.

Berkeley’s CalTime Team has just added new labels to enable employees and managers to easily view the total year to date amount ofCOVID-19 related leave hours recorded in CalTime
