Summer and Fall 2022 ASE/GSR Deadlines
Dear SHARE Region,

Summer sessions hiring continues to start earlier year over year.  In order to reduce unnecessary onboarding we will be placing Academic Student Employees(ASE)/Graduate Student Researchers(GSRs) on short work breaks over the summer like we have done over the past two years. The units that will be exempt from this will be Space Sciences Laboratory, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

The J-1 Scholar Process Timeline (currently heavily impacted by COVID restrictions in each country):

  • Department/BRS invites the visitor

    • 4+ weeks 

  • BIO processes DS-2019

SHARE STAR/SPOT Awards Program for FY22

Dear SHARE, 

The SHARE Region is pleased to announce this year’s Staff Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Award Program for staff covered by Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) and for clerical staff covered by the CX bargaining unit. The STAR Award program this year includes the Spot Award ($500): 

  • The Spot Award ($500 per award) is designed to recognize a significant and outstanding contribution(s) on a particular effort above and beyond position duties.
