SHARE HR Spring Updates

Dear SHARE Region,

We have some important HR updates to share with you about upcoming changes and deadlines.

Changes to some HR allocations:

With the finalization of the transition of ChaMPS departments to ERSO and SHARE, we have now been able to evaluate and decide on new allocations that will balance our HR workload as a whole. We anticipate the following changes:

  • SHARE HR Partners will experience a rebalancing of work and there will be changes to some allocations effective 4/18/2022. These changes will be reflected on our website by 4/18/2022 and HR Partners will reach out to the new departments and units they are supporting in the coming weeks.

  • HR Generalists will also have some allocation changes effective 5/9/2022.These changes will be reflected on our website by 5/9/2022 and HR Generalists will reach out to the new departments and units they are supporting in the weeks following the transition.

  • A minor HR Supervisor change that will be reflected on our Organizational Chart

Lecturer Deadlines:

BRS have been working on all of the changes to the smartsheet for this upcoming Lecturer hiring season given all of the new contract changes. We anticipate the Lecturer smartsheets will be released in a couple of weeks. In preparation for Lecturer hiring, we would like to share with you the deadlines below:

Will deliver a presentation on ASE/GSR and Lecturer hiring.

All departments with Lecturer titles should attend the Lecturer component

5/1/2022

N/A

Lecturer appointment letters should be sent out to Lecturers with a 7/1 or 8/1 start date

5/6/2022

Will send end date reports in April for: 

  • Temp Aug/ Supplemental appointments (these will automatically end at the conclusion of the appointment, if not responded to)

  • All other active Lecturer appointments (TC1630 & 1636) and will be automatically terminated if there is no response.

  • Review all of your end date reports sent to you and reply to the document sent to you to let BRS know what action to take by 5/6/2022.

5/30/2022

  • Last day to add any lecturer appointments and reappointments with a 7/1 start date and to the smartsheet for BRS processing. 

6/1/2022

  • Last day to add any new lecturer appointments with a 8/1 start date to the smartsheet for BRS processing.

ASE/GSR & Lecturer Spring meeting:

Please invite any of your department staff that process ASE/GSR appointments and or Lecturer appointments. We will have some fun prize opportunities!!!

Please do not forget to provide new faculty with their Faculty Administrative Handbook. Be sure to download a copy and make edits to customize to your department.
