Dear SHARE:

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful break and you are staying well or healing quickly amid the recent omicron surge. We are “back to school” with a few important announcements.

By now you have heard from us a few times about the transition of the ChaMPS region staff into SHARE, and with this growth, we are now an organization of 75 FTE (we started with 45)! We are excited to be working with so many experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable new team members. This expansion provides us with opportunities for economies of scale, career and promotion pathways for our staff, expanded opportunities for collaboration and shared expertise, among other benefits. It also provides us with a stronger budget foundation to build upon. We started as the smallest region and are now on par with the other regions in terms of scale. We are thankful for everyone who has been helping us through the transition and look forward to stabilizing our region by the end of this academic year. 

On that note, we have an exciting announcement: Jacqueline Aldrete Vanegas has been promoted to interim Payroll Supervisor. Jacqueline has served as an expert Payroll Analyst since the inception of the SHARE region. She is known for her deep knowledge of UCPath, Payroll Policies and Procedures and follow-through on all payroll related activities. She has dealt with numerous challenging issues and escalations and is well respected by all her colleagues within and beyond the SHARE team. Congratulations Jacqueline!

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Kathleen Tronnes for her Supervision of SHARE Payroll these last three years. With the growth of our region, the Purchasing & Reimbursement workload in SHARE is more than enough to keep her and the P&R team busy! Kathleen will continue in her role as SHARE Purchasing and Reimbursement Supervisor and we are grateful for her many years of experience and deep knowledge of BearBuy and the SCM and A/P Policies and Procedures. 

We will send out specific information regarding the SHARE FY22 STAR Award Program next week, so look for a dedicated email including a new nomination form.

Finally, we have a new set of Campus Fast Facts for HR Service Hub, with information about the December release that contains key enhancements and fixes. We will continue to keep you in the loop as we make continuous improvements in this platform.
