As the Controller's Office has communicated previously, the Payroll and Personnel System (PPS) is being retired because of the implementation of UCPath. The key deadlines to be aware of before the September PPS retirement are listed below.

Dear SHARE,
UC Path processed range adjustments for select Academic non-senate titles effective 7/1/19. These range adjustments were reflected on the 8/1/19 paycheck. Unfortunately, some of the range adjustments did not work properly and resulted in over or underpayment. We heard from a few departments about this, so we are now auditing all SHARE 7/1 range adjustments that seemed too high or low and initiating corrective actions.

Dear SHARE,
We are writing to let you know that we need to make some HR Partner re-assignments to accommodate changes in our organization. We have one HR Partner on extended leave and another that is leaving SHARE. We have already launched recruitments to fill these important roles and identified existing HR staff to provide continuous service until these positions have been filled. We know that transitions in staffing can be challenging and we are doing our very best to retain SHARE staff. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent turnover entirely.

Berkeley Regional Services (BRS), in partnership with Information Services & Technology (IST) and Central Payroll, just announced the creation of a new application which will allow Reader/Tutors to record their hours worked using an online app instead of completing a paper timesheet. This application will bring significant relief from manual data entry by BRS Payroll teams and increase the accuracy and availability of timesheets.
