Updates on UC Path:

  • Online payroll timekeeping system for readers and tutors will not be ready for April. This means that we will still be collecting paper timesheets for Readers, Tutors and TSPs. See below for your deadlines. For future deadlines, please visit our SHARE website and look for payroll deadlines on the right hand side.

  • Remember paychecks are not mailed to the employee’s home address until the check issue date, therefore expect to receive paper checks 2-3 days after the check date.
  • Continue to go to your Region HR Partners and Generalists with any missed pay questions, as they will be able to best support you. Do not reach out to UC Path directly.
  • Security access questions or issues please see below:
    • Users must complete the relevant training prior to their manager submitting an access request. To submit a request to add a new transactional user or to edit an existing user’s access, campus managers and supervisors may use the UCPath Security Request Form to submit requests for their employees. Please note that the submitter of this form must be the supervisor listed on the employee’s UCPath job data in order for the form to be approved. (Employees may not submit this request for themselves.) Upon approval/denial, the submitter and user will receive an email confirmation with more information.
    • For users (transactional or self-service) who are unable to login to UCPath, please submit a ServiceNow ticket.
    • For transactional users who are able to login to UCPath but are having issues with their access, please email our local security team: hrsecure@berkeley.edu

  • If you are a transactional user and need help completing a template, we encourage you attend UC Path lab hours this month
  • Short Work Break is allowed for ASE/GSR and Lecturers. The employee must have a fall appointment in order to use Short Work Break.
  • ASE/GSR Smartsheet for Fall will be released on 4/22. Depts should hold off on entering Fall appointments until the new sheets are released. If it is absolutely necessary to enter Fall appointments please consult your HR Generalist.
  • Departments and Units, you can now pull your end date reports in COGNOS. For instructions, click here.
  • Any appointments that are not terminatedwill continue to receive pay, even if their appointment end date has passed. This impacts exempt employees the most!
    • Your HR staff will be sending you your end date reports this week. All appointments with end dates in April will be terminated on 4/12/19. Please communicate with your HR staff if you wish to reappoint or extend these employees no later than 4/11/19.
