COVID-19

Q: Do I need to collect temporary remote contracts for ASEs?

A: While these contracts can be used for all titles except Faculty, they are not required to be used for ASEs

Q: Some GSIs may be striking by not teaching required curriculum or not showing up for sessions. What are departments to do?

A: For now, Departments should track if they know of employees' specifics regarding no shows (shifts not attended hours etc.) Any action will need to occur in consult with Heather Archer. This is being escalated to APO and ELR.

Q: Can employees wok out of state? Out of Country

A: If the work is needed then the employee is allowed to work out of state. The out of state taxes will be resolved at a later time. We are still waiting on guidance from UCOP on out of country employment, but if the work is essential, employees can work remotely.

Q: What should be done if a grant is not able to pay for administrative leave?

A: See SPO's response in their FAQs

For now, please track the employees, specifics regarding no-shows (shifts not attended, hours, etc., whatever is relevant).  Any action will need to occur in consult with Heather Archer.
