Dear SHARE:
We understand how much stress everyone has been under lately and hope you had a chance to rest and relax over the weekend. We wanted to share a few upcoming deadlines, however we will be as flexible as possible, so think of them as guidelines for helping us complete them as timely as possible.
Purchasing Deadlines before curtailment:
This Thursday, the 15th, is the deadline for low-value purchases of goods using the non-catalog form due to receiving facilities closing for curtailment. Catalog orders will still be auto-approved (if the requisition is complete) during this time period and should be shipped and received before curtailment in most cases. Additionally, we will still approve service and non-tangible items requests, After The Fact (ATF) requests, and Payment Requests until 12/22.
For emergency low-value purchases being made on the 27th-29th, please email share_purchasing@berkeley.edu and include the requisition number.
If you have a high-value emergency during this time, please email your assigned buyer and copy supplychain@berkeley.edu with the subject line "Emergency Acquisition" and be sure to include a description of the business need as well as a PO or Requisition Number. A buyer will contact you as soon as possible during regular business hours.
Friendly Reminder about submitting sabbatical requests:
If you have not already done so, please submit your sabbatical requests by Friday January 6, 2022 to ensure they are processed timely. For more information on how to submit your sabbatical requests, please visit our website. We have already started processing already submitted sabbatical requests.
Curtailment Reduced Services
During curtailment, please plan for reduced response times and delays in normal everyday processing. We will have enough staff to cover anything urgent or high priority. We will be open for onboarding throughout curtailment so please continue to send in any requests as needed.
