Dear SHARE:

We are rapidly approaching the end of a very long semester. Who are we kidding? The longest year ever! Please take care of yourself. We have a few important updates this week. 

Achieve Together
We are all adjusting to this new program and giving feedback to the program team to make it better next year. The deadline to enter the final check in conversation notes came up quickly, so we pushed for them to reopen the last round of forms for final edits and the team agreed. Campus will have until next Friday, May 14th, to finish adding notes and finalizing the last round of conversation/check in forms. They will not do this in the future, so we all need to remember to get those check in forms completed on time (ourselves included).  
Please continue to work on the “Pre-Calibration Rosters” that are due to People & Culture by June 4th. We have asked for a form that can be used to communicate the final score to each employee at the end of the “calibration” process, routed (easily) for signatures and then into the personnel file. This is still being discussed and we hope to have a decision and final form to share next week. This will not change the expectation that you are creating and submitting the rosters to People & Culture as described on the Achieve Together website.

Human Resources
Our amazing HR team’s new webpage is LIVE! Huge kudos to Thomas Miao and Ana Sanchez for leading this project. Not every process page is done, so we have noted those still under construction. Feel free to give us feedback! We are striving to ensure our HR information is as clear and detailed as possible, so we appreciate your helpful suggestions. 

Please remind your staff and management personnel that anyone who is at their maximum for vacation accrual will stop accruing vacation hours after June 30, 2021. As stated from the People and Culture Covid-19 resources website under “Maximum Vacation Accrual Extension.”

This year for staff and faculty retiring that want the inactive COLA,their last day worked will be June 29th, 2021.Their termination effective date will be June 30th, 2021. If they are faculty their emeritus effective date will be July 1, 2021.

Fiscal Close
As we prepare for fiscal year end, a joint Vice Chancellor Finance (VCF) / Vice Chancellor Administration (VCA) Fiscal Close CalMessage will be sent next week to all faculty and staff, outlining the full scope of VCF/VCA deadlines. Here are the BRS deadlines that will be included.
