Early December News from SHARE

December 6, 2019
Dear SHARE,
Here are some post Thanksgiving news from us!
Space Update:
We are excited to announce that all SHARE staff will finally be together in one location. After consultation with our team members and many of you, we are moving our RA team to sit alongside HR and Purchasing in 209 Fourth Street! Every SHARE staff member will be located there by the end of January 2020, so expect better integration and communication across our teams. Our staff are looking forward to this new arrangement (FREE PARKING!). If you are concerned about the ability to get in touch with staff and/or scheduling meetings with them, as always, when you’d like to meet with one of our staff, feel free to reach out and they are happy to come to campus to see you.
Survey Results about ServiceNow for HR:
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Survey about ServiceNow for HR. The results of the survey are available on these slides. The comments we received from campus units like your own will form the basis for initial draft system requirements. We will send out project information by the beginning of the new year, to kickoff this important improvement initiative.
Fee Remission Process Update:
Michael Ferencz of the Graduate Division sent an announcement to select campus audiences on 11/27 about the process for 2020 Spring Fee Remission. Click here to read a BRS article if you are interested in this information.
Big Announcement Coming next week about our Onboarding Pilot!
SHARE will handle onboarding for staff, post docs, academic non-senate titles beginning in January 2020 at our new onboarding office located in 2407 Dwinelle Hall. A HUGE thank you to Marianne Bartholomew-Couts for loaning us this space in the history department, so that we could have a convenient campus location for this important pilot project. We will send a dedicated communication about the Onboarding Pilot by the end of next week.
Other Reminders:
Please note the deadlines Ana Sanchez communicated earlier this week.
There are UCPath information sessions being given by Jan Crosbie-Taylor. More information is available at this link.
Please enjoy the next few weeks of merriment as we approach curtailment!
Cheers,
Teal and Max
